Hi, I'm Sophie

A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Canada wasn't in the grand plan. As with many expatriate relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more substantial.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, new routines, heightened expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complicated than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, ambiguity, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit our needs, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Parne Lixo Vara
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism material. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family perspective.
